The Digital Photogrammetry Course applied to Cultural Heritage for Mexico and Panama has begun, Basic Level, 2024, online modality
Work has begun on the Digital Photogrammetry Course applied to Cultural Heritage for Mexico and Panama, Basic Level, online modality, organized by the Regional World Heritage Institute in Zacatecas in coordination with the National Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of Panama, which will take place from November 18 to 26, 2024. The course is taught by Anthropologist Jorge Cuauhtémoc Martínez Huerta, an expert on the subject.

During the course's opening, Yamileth Stanziola, National Director of Cultural Heritage, reiterated the Panamanian Ministry of Culture's commitment to continue collaborating with the IRPMZ and to open the door to new projects and training activities aimed at generating tools that allow for better management of World Heritage sites and other cultural assets in our countries.

The course participants come from various institutions, such as the Government of the State of Zacatecas, the National Institute of Anthropology and History, the Autonomous University of Zacatecas, and the Ministry of Culture of Panama, as well as staff from this Institute. This course is specifically aimed at professionals from the Mexico and Panama region, with the aim of helping to enhance their skills in the documentation of monumental heritage.

During the course, participants will learn the use and knowledge of photogrammetry, focusing on the three-dimensional digitalization of real estate. This is part of a series of efforts aimed at strengthening the capacities of key stakeholders in the conservation and management of World Heritage Sites.
