New discovery in the Pre-Columbian Chiefdom Settlements with stone spheres from the Diquís
We are pleased to share that, thanks to the research of archaeologist Francisco Corrales Ulloa, a member of the National Museum of Costa Rica and the country's Cultural Focal Point to UNESCO, a pre-Columbian sphere was found on December 5th in its original location at Finca 12, in Palmar Sur de Osa. A similar sphere was found in July 2021 near a cobblestone path, and the subsequent archaeological investigation led to the discovery of this new sphere.
