The book ZACATECAS, ORIGEN Y DESTINO DEL CAMINO REAL DE TIERRA ADENTRO is presented at FENALIZ 2026.

As part of the 2026 Zacatecas National Book Fair, Zacatecas, origen y destino del Camino Real de Tierra Adentro was presented. This collaborative work brings together various perspectives on the history, heritage, and components of this cultural route within the territory of Zacatecas.

The presentation featured Carlos Alberto Torreblanca Padilla, Limonar Soto Salazar, and Luis Ignacio Gómez Arriola, who discussed the publication from different angles and shared insights with the audience regarding its origins, content, and the significance of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro for Zacatecas.

Carlos Alberto Torreblanca Padilla spoke about the initial conceptualization of the work and how the participating institutions coordinated their efforts to bring the project to fruition. He explained how collaboration among the Regional World Heritage Institute in Zacatecas (RWHIZ – UNESCO Category 2 Centre), the "Ramón López Velarde" Zacatecas Institute of Culture, and the National Institute of Anthropology and History (through the INAH Zacatecas Center) made the development and completion of the publication possible.

For his part, Limonar Soto Salazar reviewed the articles comprising the book, highlighting their themes and the authors' expertise in their respective fields. He underscored the importance of compiling these works given the limited information available on the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro in Zacatecas and noted the aptness of the publication's title, which reflects Zacatecas's historical role as both an origin and a destination for this route.

Finally, Luis Ignacio Gómez Arriola discussed the characteristics and historical significance of the *Camino Real de Tierra Adentro* and emphasized the role of books in preserving and transmitting memory. He also pointed out the unique convergence in Zacatecas of two routes recognized as World Heritage sites—each with distinct historical significance: the Wixárika route and the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro.

Following the presentations, a dialogue session with the audience took place, featuring various questions and comments regarding the characteristics of the *Camino Real*. At the conclusion of the event, Ma. de Jesús Muñoz Reyes, Director of the "Ramón López Velarde" Zacatecan Institute of Culture; Carlos Augusto Torres Pérez, Director of the Regional World Heritage Institute in Zacatecas; Raúl Pacheco Pérez, INAH Delegate in Zacatecas; and Óscar Novella, Deputy of the 65th Legislature of the State of Zacatecas, presented certificates of appreciation to the panel members for their participation.

The presentation served to further the dissemination of a work resulting from institutional collaboration and the efforts of researchers and specialists, while also creating a forum for exchange regarding one of the heritage assets linked to Zacatecas that spans the greatest geographical and historical scope.
