The "Intermediate Level Course in Digital Photogrammetry; Drone Piloting and Registration" has been successfully completed, preparing for its nomination as a World Heritage Site

From December 1st to 5th, the "Intermediate Level Course in Digital Photogrammetry; Drone Piloting and Recording" was held at the facilities of the Regional Institute of World Heritage in Zacatecas (RWHIZ). The course focused on its application to real estate properties at sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

This training activity was successfully conducted through theoretical sessions and practical field exercises. Participants delved into the methodologies associated with digital photogrammetry, a technique that allows for the creation of detailed virtual replicas of heritage properties from photographs and specialized software, particularly through drone piloting and recording.

Here we share with you some of the 3D models obtained during the course.

We thank all participants for their interest, recognizing their outstanding performance in this second stage of the training program for the use of digital technologies, hoping that the knowledge acquired will become a valuable tool that expands their resources and strengthens their capabilities in the important work they do to document and preserve the cultural heritage of Zacatecas.
